Borrow
a Seed "Mower" for Your Collection
Do you have
tons of seeds under a big oak tree and not a lot of hands to
pick them
all up? Borrow a "Bag a Nut" from Potomac
Conservancy. A Bag a Nut works similar to a lawn mower but
it picks up seeds by simply "mowing" over them. In
order to borrow the Bag a Nut for a day, contact Colleen Langan.
Borrowers
will be responsible for picking up and returning the Bag a Nut
to the Potomac Conservancy office in Silver Spring, Maryland. Contact:
Colleen Langan, Growing Native Project Director, langan@potomac.org or
301.608.1188, ext. 211.

various seeds types divided by the number of students who participate
