The Potomac River is a national treasure that holds great ecological significance locally. It is in trouble, though. Growing population and poor land use practices in the region have increase stormwater runoff and seriously polluted the Potomac – the source of our local drinking water!

Thanks to your support today, we can restore the health of the Potomac and expand the network of connected green spaces and lands which protect it. Your continued support of our conservation, policy, and outreach programs will be critical towards improving your drinking water, as much of our region &ndash nearly 90 percent – draws its drinking water from the Potomac.

Consider a monthly gift! For just $35, you can provide bags, shovels, and gloves for us to clean up the Potomac and protect your water – all for less than the cost of dinner for two in DC!
